About Savuti Camp
Luxury Tents
- Elevated Position & River Views
- Private Deck
- En Suite Bathroom & Outdoor Shower
- Four-sleeper Family Tent

Each of Savuti Camp’s seven tented chalets sits on the banks of the Savuti Channel and enjoys broad views from the easy chairs on its viewing deck. Inside, a netted four-poster bed takes centre stage and an en suite bathroom offers comfort and convenience. One of the chalets is a four-sleeper family unit – a master bedroom plus an adjoining bedroom with two single beds – while another option is to overnight in the camp’s hide, set away from camp and transformed into a lamp-lit haven for adventurous travellers!
Camp Facilities
- Swimming Pool & Sun Loungers
- Dining Area, Lounge & Bar
- Curio Shop & Library
- Photography Hide
The camp’s main dining area and lounge are raised off the ground and afford grand views over the Savuti Channel and its surrounding grasslands. Guests can make use of the reference library and curio shop as well as the swimming pool, complete with sun loungers and views of the river. After a round of evening drinks next to the fire, dinner is served in the elegant dining area or under the stars on the viewing deck. Set away from camp, a photography hide completes the range of facilities, and thanks to its bedrolls and mosquito nets, it can be turned into an overnight option for an unforgettable experience.

Activities at Savuti Camp
- Morning & Afternoon Game Drives
- Night Drives & Guided Walks
- Boating & Fishing In Season
- Bird Watching

A setting in the private Linyanti Concession enables Savuti Camp to offer a more comprehensive safari experience than camps located in the Savuti area of the Chobe National Park. Morning and afternoon game drives are standard but spot-lit night drives and guided walks with expert trackers add to the experience. When water levels in the Linyanti wetlands are high enough, boating and fishing excursions are offered, an extra twist to a Savuti safari.
Linyanti is good for big cats (lions and leopards in particular) and has a name as a haven for the highly endangered wild dog. The late dry season (August to October) is especially rewarding as huge herds of thirsty buffalo and elephant arrive. And as an IBA (Important Bird Area), the Linyanti has an international reputation for bird watching and rarely disappoints. There is a great mix of species and raptors are especially noticeable, while the summer bird watching ranks among the best in Southern Africa.
