The camp sits raised above the Linyanti floodplains, its main lodge and suites connected by wooden walkways under which wildlife often wanders. The huge viewing deck overlooks the river and has two sunken lounge areas, ideal for daytime game viewing and night-time fireside stories. The deck is also the venue for star-lit suppers, either communally or privately. One night of the week is set aside for staff to stage a night of traditional dishes, talks and song – not to be missed!
Kings Pool Camp has a communal infinity pool as well as its private plunge pools. Its two photographic hides offer excellent game viewing and bird watching opportunities, while guests can balance the thrills of big game viewing with indulgent massages and beauty treatments at the hands of the camp’s wellness therapist.

Activities at Kings Pool Camp
- Day & Night Game Drives
- River Barge Cruises (Seasonal)
- Guided Walks & Bird Watching
- Catch-&-Release Fishing (Seasonal)

Linyanti’s permanent waterways are surrounded by golden grasslands and open woodland – prime big game country. An appealing blend of Chobe and Moremi environments, the Linyanti area is best explored by 4X4 and guests at Kings Pool enjoy morning, afternoon and evening game drives in the company of expert guides, on the lookout for Linyanti’s famous predators: the area is particularly good for leopard and lion as well as the African wild dog, packs of which breed in the area.
Open-sided vehicles make photography easy, as do the camp’s two photographic hides, one of which is located at water level. River barge cruises – complete with sundowner drinks and an African sunset – are offered when water levels are high enough, as is catch-and-release fishing. Linyanti is a year-round destination but game viewing is best during the dry winter months from June to October when animals concentrate in ever-increasing numbers at the water’s edge.
