“In the interests of constructive criticism I will say a few things, but please know we had a fabulous time with great staff, facilities and food. Special mention should go to our guides KT and Pony Oddballs), OP at Linyanti and KG at Savuti. Oddballs was awesome in every way.
Review of Camp Linyanti
Linyanti was great and OP did a great job. The new boat made the trip, and the sunset cruise on this was one of the highlights. I was surprised to find out the drive from Linyanti camp to Savuti was the same time as the drive to the Linyanti airstrip. Having said that, the drive from Linyanti strip to Linyanti camp was one of our best game drives for the diversity of game and birds. (Follow the Link to Camp Linyanti)
Review of Camp Savuti
Savuti was the tour highlight for me. The swamp was incredible, with zillions of ellies, buff and all the rest (even Sable a long long way off). KG was sensational and our best guide. While the camp was heinously hot and dusty, the drives were amazing. (Walter’s Comment: During very dry season)
On a couple we saw the big 4 in one drive (minus the Rhino, which we knew we could never see) and managed to see leopards on 4 drives and man lion. I am really glad we had 3 nights there. The channel makes the place, and I am not sure how it would be if the channel were to dry up, so it would be worth keeping track of.” (Follow the Link to Camp Savuti)
