Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge

Located 70km from Victoria Falls, Imbabala Lodge is perfect for travellers visiting Victoria Falls but who still want a genuine safari experience.

Imbabala Lodge is perfect for travellers visiting Victoria Falls but who still want a genuine safari experience. Located 70km from Victoria Falls in the Zambezi National Park, this stone and thatch lodge sits in a private concession. Such exclusivity means guests enjoy game drives and river safaris as well as night drives and guided walks. Day trips to Victoria Falls are easily arranged, as are excursions across the border to Botswana’s Chobe River.

The lodge is one of the oldest established in the area but has been completely refurbished. It’s a small and friendly camp, and families with children over the age of seven are most welcome. Guests are rewarded with sightings of elephant, hippo and crocodile on a regular basis and the park is home to lions, wild dogs, leopards and a wide range of antelope species. The bird watching is excellent throughout the year while the peak viewing time for elephants is from July to October.

Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge is a great place to relax at the end or beginning of a safari. Accessed via Kasane Airport in Botswana, it combines very well with Botswana’s top safari destinations – the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. Away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria Falls, it also makes a great honeymoon destination.

Lodge Highlights:

  • Private location in Zambezi National Park
  • Wildlife-rich riverside setting
  • Game drives, boat safaris & guided walks
  • Day trips to Chobe NP & Victoria Falls
