Eagle Island Lodge

A secluded island setting makes Eagle Island Lodge ideal for travellers looking for an unhurried and private Okavango Delta experience. Set under giant riverside trees, the camp has unspoilt delta views and access to permanent water, making it a genuine water camp.

Activities offered include motor boat and mokoro safaris as well as game drives when water levels are lower, usually from November to April. Nature walks with an armed guide reveal the intricacies of the Okavango Delta ecosystem while helicopter safaris give you the bird’s eye perspective. Fishing and bird watching is on offer, and you can also pay a visit to a local Bayei village to round off a very comprehensive experience.

One of the more solid and grander tented camps in the Okavango, Eagle Island Lodge is a honeymoon favourite thanks to its dreamy setting and secluded Private Suite, complete with plunge pool and bath. The other 10 tents are luxurious air-conditioned suites, connected to camp via telephone and featuring four-poster beds draped in mosquito netting and fully-stocked mini bars. A swimming pool, award-winning bar and range of spa treatments complete the picture.
