Kubu Lodge

Long established on the banks of the Chobe River, Kubu Lodge lies a few miles downstream from the entrance to the Chobe National Park. Its 11 homely chalets set under giant riverside trees, Kubu Lodge offers affordability without compromising on comfort and experience.

Owner-managed and with decades of experience behind it, the lodge delivers genuine value for money accommodation at one of Africa’s wildlife hotspots. Triple rooms and a six-sleeper chalet means it’s a good choice for families too. The activities range from game drives and boat safaris to day trips to Victoria Falls, just 70km away. Guests can go catch and release fishing or bird watching before ending the day with a sunset river cruise – pure African magic.

Kubu Lodge is an ideal base for safari-goers during the May to October dry season. Huge numbers of elephants concentrate in increasing numbers at the river. Buffalo herds follow, attracting Chobe’s lion prides. Giraffe and antelope gather on the floodplains and crocodiles lurk in the shallows. The game viewing is excellent at this time of year. From November to April the elephant concentrations are much reduced but the Chobe birdlife is fantastic and resident wildlife is still abundant.
